Happy first day of school to all UO/OSU/PSU alumni (and others?), and happy Monday to the rest of you! Alumni activities at UO will be gearin’ up in the next week or two, and exciting things are happening at other Oregon schools too (hopefully more on that soon). In the meantime, I think it’s worthwhile to take a moment to reflect on what is at least the partial purpose of this blog—that is to say, alumni connections across the state of Oregon.
Although it has always been managed by UO alumni, one of the goals of the blog has been to foster communication and connection across school and between Inside-Out alumni all across the state. It’s a place for reflection and sharing—about your personal experience with Inside-Out, and about alumni projects in general. Inside-Out alumni from a number of schools have continued to be involved with the program, or with related programs and are doing truly awesome work. Other alumni bring their experience with Inside-Out to whatever degrees or careers they are pursuing. This blog is a place to talk about that, and to make connections with interested alumni from all involved Oregon schools.
I encourage all of you to consider sharing your story—tell how Inside-Out has affected you. Send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org, and feel free to email with any questions.
Also, Oregon got a brief mention in this article by journalist Suzi Parker about the national Inside-Out program. Check it out.
