- THURSDAY POST - Spring Break Review

Those of us at Oregon's public universities/college are on Spring Break; Lewis and Clark, are you in class this week? Today we are taking a break from posting lengthier written entries to collect articles and photo essays documenting life inside prison, as well as efforts to improve it:

A beautiful photo essay documenting extreme overcrowding in El Salvador's prisons.

A short video piece, including a slideshow and interview, with photographer Richard Ross who documents life inside our nation's juvenile facilities.

Finally, a piece by Adam Gopnik at the New Yorker, on mass incarceration in America, including a proposal to slow that trend.

These are just three pieces that have captured my attention recently.

What else is out there? Let us know in the 'comment' section.
